Renewable Energy - Biomass 2
 

Biomass currently accounts for about 15% of world energy use and nearly 40% of energy use in developing countries. Biogas from anaerobic digestion is being used to generate energy from sewage and landfill sites in Britain and from animal dung in countries such as India, China and Nepal.

Sugar cane fermented with yeast produces alcohol fuel for cars and lorries so replacing petrol in places like brazil.
