The Code of Conduct is being communicated to all suppliers. Suppliers' implementation of the Code will be reviewed routinely by the Co-operative Group or its agents. Where development is needed, we will agree a programme of improvement with the supplier, to be implemented over an agreed timescale. In the case of serious non-compliances, corrective action will need to be taken immediately.

The Co-operative Group expects its suppliers to be able to demonstrate that they are complying with the Code of Conduct. This means that suppliers must keep records in sufficient detail to show how they are managing each of the issues in the Code. These records will be reviewed as part of the audit process.
