For agricultural workers this is reduced to 8 hours per day, 39 hours per week.
- Minors are not permitted to work nights.
- Pregnant and breast feeding women have the option of not working nights if it is a risk to the child or mother.
Time-off: - Workers who have been employed for more than 13 weeks are entitled to 4 weeks paid leave per year (rate of pay determined in the contract).
- At least one day off in 7 or 2 days off in every 14 day period.
- A worker should have 11 hours rest between each shift.
- After 6 hours wor, the worker is entitled to 20 minutes rest.
- Young workers (16-18) are entitled to a 30min break after 4.5 hours of work and 2 days off per week.
- Women are entitled to 26 paid maternity leave, and 1 year in total away from their jobs. Men are entitled to 1 or 2 weeks paid paternity leave, depending on length of employment and earnings, all of which must be taken after the birth.
- Parents are entitled to up to 18 weeks unpaid parental leave. This allowance must be taken before the child's 5th birthday.
- Women are entitled to paid time off during pregnancy for antenatal visits.
