Assess

You are going to assess your operation regrading each of the criteria. To help you, we have devised a series of questions for you to answer.

We suggest that you do not do it on your own, but draw up a small Assessment Team. We suggest the team should consist of the following: (this based on the Food Procurement Initiative of the UK Ministry DEFRA)

  • Supplier.
  • Either Budget Holder / Project Manager / Technical Advisor.
  • Representative from Trade Unions/Employees of Works Council.
  • Representative from Quality/management system.

Go through the questions and answer as honestly as possible. Remember, the 10th criteria is contnual improvement, and in order to demonstrate that next year, you do not want to exarerate your position.

When you have completed each assessment, put each total in the attached spreadsheet and keep safely on hard drive until you are ready to submit the completed Action Plan.
