The Constitution prohibits discrimination based on race, tribe, sex, place of origin, marital status, political opinion, colour, or creed.

The law prohibits discrimination by employers against union members and organisers.

This means that:

There should be no discrimination between people in:

- hiring, payment, promotion, training, termination.

Whether based on:

- gender, pregnancy or parenthood, race, national origin, class, caste, age, disability, political affiliation, union membership, or sexual orientation.

All workers should receive the same payment for doing the same job.
