In the first unit, developing environmental awareness, you are going to find out about the major environmental impacts and issues. You will have seen and heard bits about most of them from the radio and TV. Here you will have more chance to make sense of them.

In this unit you will also distinguish those factors that drive environmental change at work. Then you will start to recognise the many-sided relationship between the environment and your work.

In unit 2 you will try and make the massive environmental issues manageable in your workplace.

To do this, you will develop basic methods of risk assessment that are used in many organisations. This will encourage you to find all sorts of ways to measure and monitor the processes.

These indicators of performance will be used to set targets.
