What Goes In, On and Out

At the end of this activity, you will be able to
· Identify environmental impacts and risks of their work
· Assess the most significant work demands on the environment

Assessment Criteria
You will
· Produce an annotated diagram of work identifying inputs, processes, outputs

Task

  1. Complete the annotated diagram indicating what goes:

    Into your organisation (Inputs)
    On inside (Processes)
    Out (Outputs to land, air, water & customers)

    Make sure that you include on your diagram all of the following:
    work processes, wastes, energy, chemicals, processes, raw materials, and types of pollution, contamination and emissions


            Allow 1 hours (maximum) to complete this activity:
           

  2. Highlight the diagram with those aspects and work processes that you consider may cause the biggest risk to the environment (eg. emergency procedures.).

    This provides graphical evidence towards Unit 2: Explain the identified environmental aspects of work; Describe the environmental impacts of work; Assess the risk of a chosen work activity
