Using the Web

WWW - World Wide Web: This is the backbone of the internet and covers the world with a giant network of servers acting as jump points on your route from site to site around the world.

To access the internet you don't need an all-singing all-dancing PC, with Windows 95 or Windows 98 access is easy. You will need a modem or ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) terminal or adapter and an account set up with an ISP (Internet Service Provider).
