Principles of Environmental Protection

In Unit 1 you developed awareness of environmental problems, and in Unit 2 you found out information on how to assess the impacts. In Unit 3 you are going to plan ways to implement envirornmental practices.

You are going to do this is by examining the various ways organisations tackle environmental issues.

Possibly the most important principle in environmental practice is employee participation. Experience indicates the most effective environmental practices occur by involving people at work. Studies have found that employee participation is the most effective way of reducing pollution. (Click for details of Cornell Study)

You will examine how various organisations put principles of environmental protection into practice. Then you will plan ways to implement environmental practices in your own organisation.
