LEGALLY PROTECTED AREAS 

When located within a legally protected area, ie areas legally designated for the protection or conservation of biodiversity, you need to:

• Act in a manner consistent with defined protected area management plans
  
• Consult protected area sponsors and managers, local communities, and other key stakeholders on the proposed project
  
• Implement additional programmes to promote and enhance the conservation aims of the protected area.
