10 OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY & HEALTH

Provide workers with a safe and healthy work environment.

Take nto account inherent risks in its particular sector and specific classes of hazards.

Include physical, chemical, biological, and radiological hazards.

EXPLAIN Risk Assessment (link to Glossary)

Take steps to:

  • Prevent accidents, injury, and disease arising from work
  • Minimise, so far as reasonably practicable, the causes of hazards. (EXPLAIN as far as is reasonably practicable)

Address areas including:

  • Identification of potential hazards to workers,
  • Protective measures, including modification, substitution, or elimination of hazardous conditions or substances;
  • Training of workers;
  • Documentation and reporting of occupational accidents, diseases, and incidents;
  • Emergency prevention, preparedness and response arrangements.

This should be according to
